2002 Research Grant for Graduate Students
What:
A $500 grant will be awarded to help fund a graduate level research
project
Research project must pertain to ecology, systematics, or distribution of
North American fishes
Applications will be accepted from March 1 2002- May 31 2002
Grant to be awarded on or about July 1 2002
All applicants will be awarded complimentary 1-year NFC memberships
Who is eligible?
Any graduate student (Master’s, PhD., or postdoc) currently enrolled in
an accredited university
How to Apply:
Write a brief one-page synopsis of your research project, include present
sources of funding if applicable
Include contact information of your major professor, and one other
professional reference
Include resume or curriculum vitae with your contact information

All decisions of the NFC Grant committee are final and binding. Grant
winner will share highlights of his/her project with the NFC. The NFC
may use such information for public education via their website or
publication. For more details on the NFC or the Grant please visit the

The NFC is a 501c3 non profit organization dedicated to the study and
conservation of native fishes and their watersheds. All donations are tax
deductible to the full extent of the law.
