Re: NFC: Re: Re: Apache Trout on TV



Well, here's a fish story for you.  As a kid, I once saw a dozen or so 
sqawfish cruising around our favorite swimming hole.  They were big!  I 
don't know exactly how big they were, and long-term memory can play tricks, 
but I do know that they were big enough to keep me out of the water for 
several weeks!  I never saw these monsters again, but, believe me, they left 
a lasting impression!

And to think that the Colorado River species grows much larger!!

Next to sturgeon, squawfish are possibly the largest native freshwater fish 
west of the continental divide.
