Re: NFC: fish euthanasia



Chris... Putting it back into a stream after being in an aquarium with other
fish/plants that are not native to the enviroment where its put can run the
risk of introducing new types of disease or ??? into the native stocks....
Even if taken from the same stream/ body of water, after its in with
tropical fish/ plants makes it vulnerable to organisms that the natives may
not be able to recover from... Best to freeze it or cut it up for fish food.
Sounds gross but it would be the most humane and the other fish can benefit
from its death.... I've also heard of putting it in a glass of scotch but I
think the scotch would be best AFTER the cutting up !!!   ;O)
