NFC: Re: Fw: Piranha Caught? and more...



I don't know why everyone gets their drawers in a knot every time a piranha
is found in temperate waters.  Usually they find pacu, but this photo looks
like the real thing to me.  In any case, the piranha aren't going to hurt
anybody, and they are going to die when the temperature drops.

I notice when alligators are caught in the warm water effluent of northern
industrial facilities, you hardly hear a thing about it (now we all probably
know that alligators are amongst the most docile of the crocodilians and
seldom pose a risk to humans, but I'd wager they are more of a risk than one
or two piranhas).
