NFC: Mystery Sunfish

Any help ID'ing this one? I netted it last week. I am in S.E. Wisconisn.
It looks like a young Crappie, but I think it's too small to be from
last year and too large to be from this year and the silver coloring
doesn't look like a crappie. It's about 2 inches from tip to tip. The
fins are wrong for an Orange Spot. I give up. I caught it in a slow
moving slough in some weeds along the shore line with some Central
Mudminnows. The picture is not the best, but it's the best I could get
this morning. I'll post a better one if I can get one.
