NFC: RE: Aquariums

The 80 G in my living room as a black plex end panel. Something fell on
the top edge and broke the end glass. I cut a plex panel just small enough
to fit inside and flush against the broken panel and then laminated the 2
together with silicon seal. Has been working for 5 years(knock wood) and
looks great. That end is against the wall and with black plex you cant see
the break. No silicon does not seal to plex as well as it does to glass.
Would not have done this if the cracked panel had to be removed.

Does anyone know if you can use a plexiglass panel on a glass aquarium?
Will silicon hold to the plexi like it will to glass?

Thanks,
Larry
