The book I have "Florida Freshwater Plants ", subtitled A Handbook of common
Aquatic Plants in Florida Lakes, 1996, from the Univ.of Florida, list the
plant in your "north -central part of Florida.  The map on page `122 shows
the range is right over your area.  Another earlier book dated 1987,
Identification Manual for Wetland Plant Species of Florida, also from Univ.
of Florida states also shows it in the state, but less defined.  Hope this
helped some.  What book did you use?  JiM C.
