NFC: ADMIN NOTICE: Our Lists.

Hello Everyone.

   This message is a reminder about our lists, how to subscribe,
unsubscribe, and so forth.
   Currently, the NFC has four mailing lists.  These are:

The Main List, Native Fish Conservancy NFC at actwin_com.

   This is a general mailing list for the NFC.  Almost any question,
comment, or so forth, is appropriate here.  This list is NOT for
hook-and-line type fishing questions, nor tropical aquarium questions. 
Some flexibility about this is typically given.  Commercial postings of
ANY nature are not appropriate here.  
   To Post a message, send the message to NFC at actwin_com, it will then
be distributed along to everyone on the mailing list.  Messages should
be in TEXT format.  HTML messages are NOT appropriate for this or any
other list.  Further, no attachments should be sent out.  Excessively
long messages will not make it, either.  

The Digest, NFC-Digest at actwin_com

   This is the Digest form of the main list.  When the number of
messages reaches a certain length, or once a day (whichever comes first)
they are compiled into a single message and sent out to the Digest
subscribers.  The digest subscribers may post to the main list by
sending mail to NFC at actwin_com.  They cannot post to NFC-Digest.  

The Breeder's List, NFCBreeders at actwin_com

   Bred a new fish?  Got a nice spawn of Rainbow Darters, or just trying
to figure out which one's the boy?  This is the list to post questions,
reports, and the like about breeding, as well as get information on the
Breeders Program.  To post, send mail to NFCBreeders at actwin_com

The Fish Wish List, FWL at actwin_com

   You want that beautiful greensided darter, or the redbreasted
sunfish... But... they're 200 miles away.  You've got lots of pygmy
sunfish, though.  Maybe you can set up a trade!  Visit this list for
trading, selling, and buying of natives, as well as get the Fish Wish
List, a monthly posting of what people want.  For more information on
the posting, send a message to OWNER-FWL at actwin_com.  TO post to the
list, send mail to FWL at actwin_com.

Getting Old Messages:

The messages for the main list are available off of a link from FINS. 
Visit: http://www.actwin.com/fish/nanf/, and click on any of the links
to get old messages.  FWL and NFCBreeders messages are not stored. 

To Subscribe: 

To subsribe to the lists, send a mail to Majordomo at actwin_com with the
command "Subscribe <LIST>" in the body.  Leave off the quotes, and
replace <LIST> with the name fo the list you want, such as subscribe
NFC.  This will automatically subscribe the e-mail address you're
sending from to the list.  To subscribe a different address, send in
"subscribe <list> <addy>"

To Unsubscribe:

To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to Majordomo at actwin_com with the command
"unsubscribe <LIST>".  This removes the address you are sending from
from the list.  To unsubscribe a different address, send in the command,
"unsubscribe <list> <addy> ."  

To change your e-mail addy.

You subscribed as Joe at Hotmail_com, but now you're Joe at aol_com, and don't
want to keep checking the hotmail account.  WHat you must do is
unsubscribe the hotmail account, and subscribe the aol account. 
Example:

From Joe at aol_com
To: Majordomo at actwin_com
Body:  Unsubscribe nfc joe at hotmail_com 
       subscribe joe at aol_com

To get help on other commands, etc.
Send mail to Majordomo at actwin_com with the command "help" in the body.

To Contact the list owner/manager:

Send a mail to owner-listname at actwin_com, such as OWner-NFC.  They are
all managed by the same person (me), and may all be accessed by sending
mail to owner-nfc at actwin_com

NFC Lists include the main 'NFC' list, 'NFC-Digest,' 'NFCBreeders' and
the
Fish Wish List (FWL).  To subscribe to any of these, e-mail
Majordomo at actwin_com with the command subscribe <listname>.  To
unsubscribe, use the command unsubscribe <list>.  Help returns a list of
