NFC: Flier/Phaser Fish
Just a note on the paragraph titled "Phaser Fish" in the latest Flier.
This came up on the Usenet last year. Many people were somewhat
skeptical (actually, incredulous is a better word for it!) of the claims
of burst eye vessels and death. It turns out this was a fabrication
by the reporter; they guy she interviewed never said any such
thing. I guess it was an attempt to make science more "interesting"
to the general public?
