hi robert, my name is john herbeck. where do you find ellasoma? i had 6
in a small 5 gal tank for almost a year. i collect regularly on weekends
and in that time found none.i cover anyplace i can access south of and
including lake okeechobee. 3 weeks ago in a canal south of 595 on 29 i
caught 17 in 30 minits.most caught a fungus infection and died. i have 2
left. i have returned to that canal the very week after i caught 17 and
not one! please help! i love these fish and everyone that writes about
them says they are so common. where do i find them easily? i use a
dipnet on the shoreline in heavy vegation.i travel alot so any specific
information on where to find these would be fine. by the way, i would
like to try breeding them in small ponds like you.i maintain 25 other
tanks and except for a jaguar cichlid these are my favorites.
