I think a darter or another one of our more eye-catching natives would
be great. With game fish... people have seen them, generally don't
think of them as endangered (except some, like trout). However, a
darter or something people don't usually think of sizzling in a frying
pan would catch someone's eye, perhaps enough that they'll check out the
webpage, if for nothing else but to find out what that pretty fish was.
