fair enough, robert.

as a deep ecologist, i think fish have as much right to exist as 
people, and so i share some of the goals of PETA. however, i do 
not believe it is healthy in our civil society to use the aggressive 
measures PETA often does to achieve its goals. that is to say, 
were they to use insulting language, i would call them on it, in 
exactly the same way i called members of this list to task.

and i think the predator/prey relationship is not an unethical one. 
when done with respect and mindfulness.

anyway, thanks for your reasonable response.
