Subject: cutthroat trout in deep creek

hello

i got your name from a Sierra Club water listserve in colorado run
by steve glazer.

i'm a county commissioner in san miguel county, and we have a
golf course proposal on a mesa above what turns out is a creek
that holds native cutthroat trout -- something i had never heard
about in the 20 years i've lived here.

could you help me in any way to get information about this tributary
of the San Miguel River here in southwestern colorado -- it's called
Deep Creek -- and is about 7 or 8 miles downstream from Telluride.

also, i'd like to find out more information about its population of
cutthroat, and about the status of cutthroat in colorado in general.

thank you.

ag
