Every new culture that I have purchased has been fly free, but come August
and hot weather, they become infested with them.

This year I soaked part of an infested culture in water and removed just the
worms.  I then put the culture in a paper bag and kept it in a room well
removed from the infested cultures.  I still see a few flies in it, but no
where near the number that were in the infested cultures.

I expect the flies to disappear as it gets cooler.
