The purpose of the air pump is to create agitation so that the shrimpettes
won't sink to the bottom as yours are doing, where they will die.  They do
not eat at this stage.  They live on what they were born with.

To keep them alive you would have to find a way to keep them suspended in
the water column.  If I had that problem, I would abandon the culture and
start another one when I had a replacement pump.

And to answer your other question, I will not join you in "speaking out" for
"women's rights."  "Women's rights" is a code phrase for 'women's
preference", and we already have too much of that.

Has anyone tried raising brine shrimp without the use of an air pump? Mine
went ka-poot and all the stores are closed now. The little shrimpies seem to
fair fine without it...going to the bottom where the food has settled.
