Hi, My well water is hard and alkaline, but not as bad as yours - I have about 250 ppm GH. But daphnia like hard, alkaline water, so you should be fine, particularly if you dilute it. There are inexpensive additives that are readily available that get rid of both chlorine and chloramine. Check you local fish store or pet store. Good luck! Bill
