You might want to try culturing Moina sp. instead. From the literature (see links in earlier LFDs), Moina do best in the mid-upper 70's - low 80's. At these temps, they outproduce daphnia significantly, and the young are (depending on the Moina species) as small as or even smaller than BBS!
