Re: North American Killies



The Golden Topminnow is _Fundulus chrysotus_, native to the Gulf Coast. I 
have a small colony of them, they're beautiful fish. Most Americans don't 
seem to want to keep such as them, I suppose it's a question of the grass is 
greener on the other side... many of the _Fundulus_ species are handsome if 
not pretty fish, and easy to keep; few of them are endangered except on the 
peripheries of their ranges (with the exception of _Fundulus julisia_, the 
Barrens Topminnow, now found in only 2 (3?) springs in eastern Tennessee).
