I agree strongly with Jim that folks should take extra care to be sure they
send only ASCII (Plain) Text to any mail list.

AOL, and I think IE, are set up to default to a code known as MIME that is
*only* understood by PCs and MACs (and even not all of them). Lots of folks
on mail lists use their company networks or other kinds of UNIX servers, and
those simply do not understand MIME, Base 64, .UUE and a lot of PC-specific
ways of encoding messages (without extra fussing by uncooperative
sysadmins).

In NetScrape's editor, click on Edit. Then on Preferences. Then on Mail and
Newsgroups and then Formatting. Be sure the button "Use plain text editor to
compose messages" is active (has a black dot in the button). It takes way
longer to type than to do, so *please* do it.

Ob. killies: There's rumored to be a bunch of super, small glass breeding
tanks to be on the auction table at the BAKA meeting in San Mateo on Sat.
Only 4 months to WCW, so you need to get them hatched and growing out soon
for that one.
