Re: Tank Filters

Hi all I've been in the hobby for 30+ years a & never owned a sponge
filter. I use a plane under gravel bowl filter. The 1 gal. or the 2 gal.
4"&5" in dia. Just put it in a 1/2 pound plastic butter or Margarine dish
Fill with Med. natural gravel about 2" Deep. In 2 week you won't believe
how much dirt it picks up.& when you lift it out of tank all the dirt stays
in the filter. To clean just dump them into an old plastic dish pan.Rinse
with cool water Run a tooth pick in the air stem refill the filter with
gravel.& thies filters last for ever unless you step on them Karl
