While I was in the gallery, I saw a picture of A.
Occelatum. I would like to know if anyone is raising this fish now and
could give me some information on it.

Thanks,

Hi Randy,
I have two populations of Occelatum, Nzenzelle GBN88/17 and PEG 96/22 and
both are very similar in habits. They are shy and hide in the plants a lot
but when they do display they are very colourful. They are fairly easy to
breed if you keep the temperature below 20c and collect the eggs and place
on damp peat or peat fibre for 3 weeks. My water is fairly soft at 2-3DH
and I dont know if they will spawn in harder water.
Hope this helps
