Re: compatability

At a recent EXK meeting, the Wiley's stated that they had left an aquarium with gravel outside for a couple of years. When they added tap water to the tank three years later, australes hatched out. I can't believe it, I think someone threw some australes in the tank as a joke. But they said it was a true story. Bob

Most would survive several months, some even longer. I had some australe eggs
sent to me packed in peat. I immersed them, many hatched and I forgot about
the peat left over which I separated and put in a bag for future use because
it was a useful long stranded material. Several months later when I wet it,
some australe hatched. I'm sure others have had similar surprises.
