I've started to collect the parts to build my own pump from an old auto air polution pump.  I know there are many detractors from this type of system.  But Norm R. has built one succesfully and I like the idea of building it.

That said, here's the details on the motor I'll be using:

I don't know the maximum number of tanks it can handle.  I think Norm has just under 2 dozen and has air to spare.

BTW, the biggest complaint about this design is the noise.  Norm has discovered that most of the noise comes from the vibration of the unit itself.  He has minimized the noise by resting the entire contraption on a skab of styrofoam.
