Allen,
Ep. chaperi Angona is on the Ep. Preservation Group's "Core Species List."
A. gardneria N'sukka went for about $10 a pair at the WCW last April and
nearly that at Cleveland earlier this month. The AUS routinely go for
anywere from $5 to $20 an both general aquarium and club auctions. In
fact, I believe a pair of AUS gold went for a very nice price at The CAKC
auction last weekend. If you would bring them to a CAKC meeting, I'd bid
on a couple of pair of A. bivittatum Nigeria.
The CAKC is having an exhibition at the PVAS auction on November 13-14.
The fish we exhibit are being sold, hopefully to fish keepers newly
enchanted with these wonderful fish. We've asked clubs in the NE to send a
few good beginner fish to us and several clubs and individuals outside the
CAKC have generously agreed to help. Of course, CAKC members are also
putting beginner fish in the exhibition. The sellers wil get 2/3 of the
sale price, which isn't bad. With all the beginner fish you have
available, we'd love your participation. So how putting some of these fish
in the CAKC exhibition? I will bid on any A. bivittatum Nigeria you
contribute, so you'll get more than $1 for them. Guaranteed.
