Perhaps you should add sodium bicarbonate instead of pH-Up -- its
cheaper and might even work better. About 1 heaping teaspoon/gallon of
sodium bicarbonate would be a place to start.
The write-up from, I think, Argent, mentions that during hatching of
Artemia cysts the pH goes down. This inhibits further cysts from
hatching. Sodium bicarbonate tends to buffer the solution around pH 8.
