AKA Mentoring Program

To:
All Killifish Keepers who would like to help new members of the AKA.

Subject:
    Mentoring Program

I am developing a Program with the approval of the AKA BOT which will
supplement the Beginners program, and hopefully augment what already happens
on an unofficial basis between experienced killifish keepers and new members
of the AKA. It will involve both affiliate AKA groups as well as isolated
individuals who are not connected to an affiliate.

What I need are the following:
1) an updated membership list with new members identified by postal zip code
- I have already worked the details of this out with Joe Bulterman and Barry
Cooper
2) a chairman who will distribute to the local mentor(s) the names,
addresses, phone no. and e-mail of new members _ that's my job by default
3) A hard-core group of volunteers around the country/world who are willing
to spend a few hours occasionally talking with a new member and offering
advice, fish, visitations, camaraderie, etc.

WANTED - several (perhaps 15 or 20?) dedicated AKA members to mentor new
members. No guarantees expected but some willingness to spend some time each
month or so contacting a couple new members.

Your advice and volunteering to be a mentor would be appreciated. This
same notice will be published in an upcoming BNL for those not e-mail
connected. Please respond to me at your convenience via e-mail, phone or
regular mail.

Thanks,
