John--

Loved your closet knitting comment. Too bad I'm never quick enough on my
feet to think of something like that on the spur of the moment.

Thanks for the message. Be glad to send you at least 6 (probably
more--depends on when I get tired of trying to catch the #%&#^ things
from among the rocks) brichardi. They don't seem to have an especially
blue face, but they do have some blue markings on the face/cheek. There
were some brichardi at the last auction before this one that were listed
as "Blue Face" and they were definitely blue. Mine are from stock just
listed as brichardi.

On the Gambusia: counted noses in the fry tank tonight. Should be able
to send you a trio and a pair. I have two females that look like they
might be pregnant--will send one of them to you as part of the group.

When I send (tomorrow) will bag each fish separately (hope I have enough
bags) and will double box to try to insulate better (that might be a
challenge since my husband cleaned the basement today and took my hoard
of cardboard boxes up to the recycling center). The each of us pays the
shipping on the box we send idea sounds fine with me.

One pair of lineatus would be great--do you have anything else extra
that I might be interested in (ie livebearers, killies, or small
cichlids)? I'm looking for tough plants (no Java moss or
hornwort--they're like kudzu in my tanks) and live food cultures, too.
So, WHY (you have no idea how long it took me to figure out what that
acronym meant).

Thanks for the livebearer info help. Will have to get Baensch v. 3
sometime, and I will look for the other books you recommended. When I
get time I will look at the website you sent. Thanks.

Crazy day at work. Had to do my first physical intervention (read
take-down) to help a corrections officer break up a fight. There was no
one else on our side of the building at the time and I was not going to
leave him to deal with two youths (both of whom were intent on hurting
each other any way they could) while I stood on the sidelines and
looked appalled. Once it was over, had to fill out statements and
reports about the intervention ad nauseum. I really didn't have the time
to spend an hour on that sort of thing today. You can tell a full moon
is upon us--the kids are hyper and on-edge. Never used to believe those
stories about the moon affecting behavior, but I do now.

Gotta go. My husband is waiting impatiently for the computer (has a
"shoot and splat" game that he wants to play). Talk to you later.
