Re: Melafix

Hi Joe,
Thanks for mentioning the MelaFix. We make it next door. I cannot add much
about killies, since I have not used it on killi eggs. I have treated discus
eggs and others have treated marine clownfish eggs and larvae with great
success. It should work well and an overdose is very unlikely, so it could
be used during the entire water incubation safely. As always, I would love
to hear what everyone thinks about any of our products. We are also
beginning to distribute Aquarian Flake Food in the US again, so I expect many
people will be glad to have it available.

Subject: MelaFix Anti-bacterial remedy

I have been experimenting lately with a product from Aquarium
Pharmaceuticals called Melafix. It is sold as an anti-bacterial remedy
made from the Melaleuca (Tea Tree). I have been using it to help with the
viability of killi eggs and it seems to work quite well. Has anyone else
tried using it?
It is marketed to treat Fin and Tail Rot, Open Red Sores (I hate those),
Open Body Wounds, and Eye Cloud, Pop Eye, Body Slime and Mouth Fungus.
P.S. It is a reletively new product that I purchased at "That Fish Place"
in PA.
