    George has given you a good reply.  If you want more of the original 
history of the AKA refer to Killienotes Vol 4 No 1 January 1971 p22-28 for "A 
HISTORY OF THE AMERICAN KILLIFISH ASSOCIATION " by Albert J. Klee.  If not 
available to you, I could mail a copy of the article.  The number of Charter 
Members was 146.
    The first convention was at Chicago, IL in 1962.  I do not have full 
information on it but I believe in August or September and was only a show 
and auction in conjunction with a local Aquarium Society.  The fish were not 
Judged, this was instituted at the second convention the following year at 
Cleveland.  Hope this helps.
