Of course, what I meant to say and imply was "official" in the AKA sense.  
International rules (ICZN) are of course "official" in the truest sense of 
the word, but they are also not without change. Sorry for the inadvertent 
implication that there was no official nomenclature. The best the AKA can do 
is make available to the hobbyist (via the KMI, JAKA, etc) the best and 
latest distillation of the ICZN nomenclature. Not a trivial task as mentioned 
vis-a-vis the KMI efforts.
