I have also found that pint size freezer containers work well too. I get six for $1, including lids, at the Dollar Tree (one of my favorite places to pick up fish room supplies). These also come in quart and 1/2 gallon sizes, but are a little more expensive. I have access to petri plates (I work in a reasearch lab) but prefer the plastic containers!
