Ijebu Ode tangent

I have a BIT that came in as a single pair of mixers from the Niger
Delta. It's a beautiful fish, but is virtually indistinguishable from
Ijebu Ode. I keep both fish. If I raise enough fry (so far so good) and
distribute it, I'll call it CIN 99/1, but it does underline Wright's
point about shipping centres - and may raise others about codes. At
least we know when it came, if not from where. If we don't collect them
ourselves, I think we should avoid sticking geographic names on them.
BTW - I once had a spectacular BIT "Lagos" with no 'arrival code' on it
that was radically different from Ijebu Ode.
Just food for thought...
