Re: Sponge filters any preferred types-brands?
Hello Bill,
I agree with John that Junior Dirt Magnet filters are just right for a
2.5-gal tank. It seems that lately they have changed the design --
eliminated the separate outside air tube, so the air tubing goes inside
the lift tube. I received such filters in my last order, but they do NOT
work as well as the old-fashioned kind.
In their catalog, Pet Warehouse (800-443-1160) illustrate a generic foam
filter with an outside air tube. They *look* OK, but I have not ordered
them as yet.
For a 10-gal tanks, Tetra Billi or Brilliant filters work the best. They
are slightly more expensive but, in my opinion, worth it!
By the way, does anyone have a source for 2 - 2.5-gal tanks?
Best,
George
