Re: Flake food for killies




Has anyone done any (controlled) work to determine how diet effects number
of eggs or fry?  Flake or dry foods may be less appetizing....but might also
be might also be more nutritious.

I'd prefer a diet of Ice Cream alternating between chocolate and strawberry
(for variety), but it wouldn't be all that nutritious, perhaps with a daily
vitamin <gr>.

Wild killies don't eat brine shrimp, or beef heart...yet that's what
nourished many a killie in my father's fish room in the '60's '70's and into
the '80's.  I'd be curious to see what we **know** about this.

opinions are nice
experience is better
controlled studies are best
