I have to disagree somewhat with the statement that most killies will not
touch flake foods.
Every Killie I have ever kept has eaten flake food, this goes for F1 from
wild fish I received from T. Hannick years ago to any fish I have received
today. Some are reluctant at first but after a few days they get the hang of
it. I however agree with your comment that you must give them a varied diet.
All my killies also receive at least one feeding of baby brine per day and in
season mosquito larvae etc. Do not feed just one food if you want healthy and
robust fish.
