I agree with Wright about cover being essential in breeding annulatus.  I
was working with annulatus Monrovia last summer and the female was always
much happier with a thick cover of Salvinia.   I kept Aphyosemion sp. Lenghe
Curoh in the same 20 long with this pair of annulatus.  The, very
aggressive, Lenghe Curoh never even noticed the annulatus.  By the way,
large adult male annulatus can be surprisingly aggressive, taking on
anything that comes near that little red tail extension of theirs.  If you
want to keep another killie with annulatus try to make it one that isn't a
surface fish.  biv may not be the best choice.
