RE: belly sliders

I would also like to know why in a hatch of N. gunthrie all the males are BS
and all the females are fine.

Subject: belly sliders

I think belly sliders were mentioned recently on one of the killie lists,
but I can't remember the context. What seems to be the cause of this
disability? Someone on the betta list recently asserted that there was a
genetic component to the condition: he obtained a female at an auction with
some sort of air bladder problem and spawned her anyway, and approximately
70% of the spawn were sliders and about 25% of those outgrew it.

What seems to cause the problem in killies?
