Blue gularis (SJO?)
To Andy in the UK, etc.,
I've been breeding SJO (I assume you mean Fp. sjoestedti , a.k.a.
Blue gularis (or is it gularii?) for about 20 years and can only
give you an educated guess. I normally don't pay much attention
to fertility life, but I'd say good production can be expected
from fish of a minimum of 6 months to a maximum of 2 years. A
lot depends upon conditions such as health, proper nutrition, and
as with most living creatures - the luck of the draw! Finally,
I'd say that good egg production can be expected from any pair
that looks healthy, regardless of age (after 6 months of course).
