RE: Hydra
Hi John. I have hydra in one tank also. My question is this. I bleach the
eggs to remove the shell, wouldn't that kill the hydra eggs?

Hello Jim
The best way to take care to the dreaded Hydra is to drop a fluke tab
into the tank. This is used to cure gill flukes but also kills hydra
without hurting either the fish or killing the plants. If you didn't
have the plants you could have used copper safe. But that will kill
off your plants. The other way to get rid of hydra is to stop feeding
baby brine shrimp to the tank for a week or so. You most likely got
the hydra from the brine shrimp. Their eggs come in the with the brine
shrimp eggs and you don't even now you're hatching them until you notice
them in your tank. Good luck
