They will eat any live food they can swallow. It is more important that the
tank be tightly covered. I have lost a couple xiphidius through 1/4 inch
openings in the cover. I have never had one starve to death. They will jump
long distances with amazing accuracy. Never relax your vigilance about
replacing the cover.
