I found the following on a quick search of the Internet:

Kiong 

(Upper Cross, Delta-Cross, Cross River, Benue-Congo, Niger-Congo) 

Geographical Location: Nigeria, Cross River State, Calabar and Akampka
Divisions 

 So the correct spelling of the region is Akampka. The species status appears
to be as Harry says, a population of Aphyosemion (Fundulopanchax) gardneri
nigerianus. Lazara apparently mispelled it in KMI Vol 3.
