Yes, the hotel rates in Chicago are higher than other, smaller cities. 
However, for those of you that are flying into Midway airport, you should
find that the lower airfares more than compensate for the difference.  
Those of you that are considering driving, you may want to see if there
are any specials to Midway.  Sometimes special rates are so ridiculously
low it makes driving seem expensive, not always, but sometimes.
