I don't see any irony. Singapore is not a major breeding centre for
fish. A lot of fish that is bred in our neighbouring countries like
Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia is imported first into Singapore and
then exported to countries like the US of A and Europe.
Just for the info of the subscribers here, my importer friend told me
that his Killies are from Taiwan. Seems like the breeders there are
really good at breeding tropical fish, be they Altum Angels, Cichilds or
Killifish. If you have not heard of Altum Angels, they are supposedly
almost impossible to breed in captivity. Over here in my country,
whereas a normal Angelfish costs only about S$2 or so, an Altum can
costs up to S$50 per piece. I should know, that's how much I paid for
mine. Ouch!!
