egg 'behavior'
Hi All,
Hi Gary,
Not yet killiphile, but expecting and reading the talk, a bit late,
sorry.
About your egg behavior, may I have a few comments.
Yes, I think your fingers can be faulty. The most important way to
transmit pathogens for humans (and especially doctors) are the hands.
For the biochemist theory, yes, the oxygen can be a protector versus
some fungi. Each pathogen has its prefered biotope, as fishes.
I would like to add a biological theory. Your water sprites certainly
don't like the fungus, and it may be very possible that the plant
develops some kind of defence versus the fungus. I don't know if we can
really talk of antibodies, but it may be a protein or an antifungus
molecule.
We should not forget that most if not all of the actual antibiotics and
antifungics are or are derived from botanic research.
Gary, you should make a brevet now for the copyright of a new antifungal
discovery. ;-)
