Go for one of the small Gast or Sweetwater blowers from Wetthumb. While the
initial cost may be higher then may like to pay the long term lack of
frustration factor in worth it.
The other cheap blowers tend to throw oil and last only a short time. The
anti-pollution pumps break down and the fins wear away. The graphite dusts
makes cleaning valves a weekly task.
Another alternative is a high output diaphragm air pump. I know of one that
should put out enough air for about 50 to 75 ten gallon tanks. The guy only
wants about $250 Can. (less than 200 US$)
In the past I have used many different air pumps but since going to
manufactured all the problems and concern have disappearred. The wife is
even happier, less noise and less power consumption.
