The plastic Lustar tanks are available from Wet Thumb Aqutics with
or without lids. They have a several sizes.
I got a large supply of glass from someone who was putting on new
storm windows, they just wanted to get rid of the old. I use the
regular window glass for tanks up to 5 gallons, or for special
shaped tanks to fit a place where I want to fit them.
I also make all of my soil spawner breeding tanks with a built in
compartment for the peat moss. I always put the tanks on strips
of carpeting so that there is no high spots for the tank to sit on.
I have never had any trouble with these tanks. For the top trim
you can buy the plastic strips that are used to cap paneling. I
just put black electrical tape around the top. Tops are the hard
part to make.
