Actually, acriflavine seems regionally available. I don't know why. here
in Quebec, I have never found it. On a trip through Maine last year, I
looked in a few pet stores with no luck, finally finding some in a
remarkable shop that was also selling what appeared to be a dead cat.
The choice between the dead and the dye was easy.
Sometimes you really have to look for these products. They may be easy
to get on the West Coast, hard to get on the East Coast, or vice versa.

Why does every one have such a problem getting acriflavine ?
Any pharmacist or pharmaceutical supply house can get it for you, that is how
I get mine.
They may ask you for the reason since it is known as a cancer causing agent.

Try your pharmacy they have it more readily available than your LFS (local fun
shop).
Lets get off these three letter description that have been adopted from the
plant list,
see how things can get misinterpreted when you don't spell it out.
