Not so that you'd notice - I keep my cultures in my "fish closet", a walk-in
closet in the hallway where I "try" to keep all of the unsightly stuff we
all accumulate in this hobby. The only time there is a light on in there is
when I'm actually looking for something. My vinegar eel cultures do quite
nicely in the dark.
