Re: Gularis and old times-attn R Schwiegerath
Hello Bill. I am recently about across the country and am having to give
awaya few killies. I have several types and would be happy so send you some
for free if you wouol dpay the shipping. I do have a nice young pair of
Blue Gularis I could part with as well. I have to disagree with your
pbservation that they are not fin nippers. Although I have not found them
to be Highly agressive fish they seem to be very hostile when kept with
other male conspecifics. I have had some sucess raising many males together
in an overcrowded tank. I attribute this to the "cichlid effect". Once the
the tank is over crowded one particular fish isn't overly picked on and the
all just sort of chase each other around. I have heard other people say
that they have seen different levels of aggression in gularis and they
believed it was just common in only some strains. Go figure....anyway,
Welcome back to the AKA and if you want some fish let me know!
