Re: collection codes
Whatever the outcome of the collection code discussion is, I hope everyone
remembers the geographic location name along w/the code also.
Similar to stamp collecting, our hobby is one that you can pick up an
incredible knowledge of world geography. I'm sure we all have heard of
100's of place names in Africa, South America, etc. through killifish that
we never would have been exposed to otherwise. Beira? Kitonga north?
Nsukka? Kribi? Cape Lopez? Rufigi River Camp?
I vote to keep the codes, but please keep the local name locations in use
also for our future enjoyment. Quick, can somebody tell me where louessense
RPC 33 is from?

ps. I'm surprised no one has joined this thread suggesting abandoning the
codes entirely as being 'user-unfriendly' in the aquarium hobby. A former
poster on the other killi list (AH) went so far as to vow to never keep
killies with 'borg names (i.e. cyborg control code numbers).
